Located on Victoria Street, between Bugis Junction and Bras Basah Complex in the Civil Civic area, the 16-storey and 2-block building is divided in several divisions:
The Central Public Library offers over 200,000 books of which half is dedicated to fiction. There are also children books, magazines and audio-books. Two outdoor gardens within the public library as well as a rooftop function room that can be rented for both corporate as well as private functions, offering a stunning view of the city.
The Lee Kong Chian Reference Library has a collection of over 530,000 print and non-print materials. Facilities are micofilm, reprograhy, wireless Internet and access to electronic databases.
The Drama Centre of the National Arts Council with a seating capacity of 615 occupies the 3rd, 4th and 5th storey of the building.
