Opened in 2012 on the 2nd floor of Marina South Pier, the Singapore Maritime Gallery aims to introduce visitors to Singapore's maritime history and current maritime industry. Spanning 10 experential zones, it reflects the vibrancy of maritime Singapore, one of the world's busiest ports. Some highlights of the gallery include a big ship model with touch screens and videos to showcase the main types of ports and other maritime services available in Singapore. Look out for the panoramic video wall, which offers a glimpse of Singapore's maritime industry while a Vessel Traffic Information System explains how to manage shipping traffic. Don't miss the ship Bridge Simulator and get the chance to stir different types of vessels then get your little ones entertained at the children zone with plenty of interactive activities.
