Directions to Lazarus Island
Lazarus Island is part of Singapore's Southern's islands and is situated at about 6.5 km from the mainland between St John's and Kusu islands.
Also known as Pulau Sakijang Pelepah, which means 'Island of One Barking Deer and Palms', Lazarus Island is accessible through St Johns Island via a bridge and has been also combined to Pulau Seringat through previous reclamation works. Today Lazarus Island and Pulau Seringat stretch over 47 ha.
The most remarkable feature of this island and perhaps the only, is its natural sandy beach, that lies on its eastern part. It is most of the time an attractive haven of peace but on week-ends especially in the afternoon it can be particularly crowded with private jet boats.
If you wish to visit Lazarus Island you can use the daily ferry from Marina South Pier or hire a private boat.
