Fabindia celebrates the very nimble hands of craftsmen and artisans in India. It holds a specially curated selection of apparel, home furnishings and accessories. From Rajasthani quilts to block printed kurtis (tunics) to bandhini (tie-dye) stoles, tradition is basically seeping through the Fabindia store, located in the up scale Paragon Shopping Centre.
John Bissell, an American, founded the store on the grounds of having immense respect for the conventional craft of India and to continually provide opportunities to the rural craft communities. Fast forward to today, the store has embraced a more contemporary front in terms of design, while still maintaining its roots in tradition and craft.
