Costruita tra il 1869 e il 1870, la Chiesa di San Pietro e Paolo, conosciuta come la 'Chiesa Madre' tra i cattolici locali, divenne popolare con l'inizio e la crescita della comunità cattolica cinese a Singapore, servendo la maggior parte dei gruppi di dialetti cinesi. Oggi la maggior parte dei servizi sono in inglese.

Ci sono tre altari di marmo, vetrate colorate, una cantoria e un ingresso impressionante da vedere.

Considerata un monumento nazionale, la chiesa merita sicuramente una visita quando ti trovi in zona. Le attrazioni vicine sono Bugis Shopping, Arab Street e dall'altra parte il Museo d'Arte di Singapore e la Biblioteca Nazionale.
