Construida entre 1869 y 1870, la Iglesia de San Pedro y San Pablo, conocida como la 'Iglesia Madre' entre los católicos locales, se hizo popular con el inicio y el crecimiento de la comunidad católica china en Singapur, sirviendo a la mayoría de los grupos dialectales chinos. Hoy en día, la mayoría de los servicios se realizan en inglés.

Hay tres altares de mármol, vitrales, un coro y una impresionante entrada para ver.

Considerada un monumento nacional, la iglesia merece una visita cuando estés en la zona. Las atracciones cercanas son Bugis Shopping, Arab Street y al otro lado el Museo de Arte de Singapur y la Biblioteca Nacional.
