Discover Peranakan culture through traditional dress and hands-on craft during a one-hour experience at Nanyang Memories in Singapore’s Chinatown. Begin with a short introduction to Peranakan style. Choose a vibrant Nyonya outfit and complete your look with matching accessories and simple hairstyling. Makeup is not included. Next, join a beginner-friendly batik craft activity. Select a colourful batik pattern, prepare the materials, and follow step-by-step guidance to create your own keepsake. All craft materials are provided, and no previous experience is needed. Take photos in your Nyonya look and receive one printed photo with a frame. At the end of the experience, take home both your handcrafted batik souvenir and printed photo as personal memories of Singapore. The studio is located at 3 Temple Street, Singapore 058556, near Chinatown MRT and Maxwell MRT. Chinese- and English-speaking assistance is available.
