Description
Begin with a hands-on lacquer fan workshop, where you'll create your own colorful fan inspired by a traditional Chinese craft. Use colorful pigments and creative techniques to design a one-of-a-kind fan. No artistic experience is required, making this activity suitable for all ages and skill levels.
As you create your fan, your host will introduce the cultural background of Chinese fans, their role in daily life, and how handcrafted items continue to connect people with traditional aesthetics.
After the workshop, continue a shared Chinese dining experience. Rather than simply enjoying a meal, you'll explore the stories behind Chinese cuisine. Learn Chinese food culture, how food traditions are linked to festivals and family gatherings, and what certain dishes symbolize in Chinese culture.
You'll also have the opportunity to learn basic chopstick techniques and dining etiquette commonly practiced in Chinese households.
