From its early collection of Dutch Colonial and Javanese vintage pieces in Dempsey Hill in 1995, Journey East boasts today in Tiong Bahru a voluminous 8,600 sq. ft- showroom of peerless recycled, restored and eco-friendly furniture and home accessories.
By selecting products from partners who take action in their fair trade practices and reduction of carbon footprint, Journey East aims to promote environmental awareness and eco-friendly practices.
Asian furniture enthusiasts can appreciate in the outlet's Vintage collection, some hand-picked Asian original pieces from the 1920s to the 1960s. Art Deco, Retro and Colonial furniture, all were made from Indonesian teak wood and have been curated and restored by hand.
Journey East also features some modern contemporary design brands: The eco-friendly specialist and award-winning d-Bodhi; the modern contemporary Belgian brands XLBoom for some fun and functional products and Mamagreen for the outdoor equipment.
