For those who would like to soften the modern side of their home, John Erdos offers a wide selection of Asian inspired contemporary furniture and home decor. This made-in-Singapore brand, which celebrated its 20th Anniversary in February 2012, is not only well liked by expats and much-travelled Singaporeans but also worldwide including some famous customers such as Giorgio Armani, Julia Roberts and Susan Sarandon. Its founder, the American national John Erdos is said to be the one who introduced Asian inspired contemporary furniture and home decor long before it became mainstream or vogue.
At John Erdos Home, you'll find 95% of John Erdos' design: gift ideas under S$30 or S$300: candles and candle holders, bronze figurine and Buddha collection, rugs, lamps and colorful bird cages. Yet, the main draw here is definitely the wooden furniture. Designed by John Erdos, it is crafted in Indonesia and China and can be custom-made in style, size and color to fit your needs. John Erdos uses only reclaimed wood, which makes the company an Eco Friendly Furniture business.
The 11,000 sq. Ft showroom of Dempsey Hill, with its lush forest surrounding, its large glass panels, exposed black beams and indoor poi fish pond, is truly an inspiring place to find creative gifts and beautifully crafted furniture.
